Iliès Terki is a film director from Algeria based in Hamburg. His films tell intimate and nuanced stories of diverse voices and cultural expressions.In 2016, Terki started a project called Idle Shorts. It's a collection of 52 stand-alone short films and vignettes of quiet reflections, fleeting joys, and unspoken ties. The stories seek to dramatize the tiny instants of every day that might seem mundane yet hold the universal ingredients of our connection to the world and each other. Idle Shorts is an ongoing project.Terki is also the founder of Idle Films - an independent film collective and a company focusing on short-form fiction for the big screen, the web, and everywhere in between.
